In light of all that is going on and despite detailed planning and analysis on how we could try to manage the risk, there is but one conclusion. In essence, we are unable to host the event this summer and assure the safety of the Youth, Scouters and Volunteers.

Now, for some good news. We have spoken with our volunteer committee, and the majority of the team are able to run CCJ21! We will be scheduling the event for July 4th - 10th, 2021.

Your organizing team has been in multiple discussions in light of the current covid019 situation.
This weekend you will receive an email from us regarding an updated payment schedule and details in our approach to camp planning.
At this time, it is too early to predict the upcoming Summer impact. We remain focussed on planning the event in anticipation that we will be able to enjoy an amazing Canadian Cub Jamboree.

Like you, we will remain focused on the developments and advice from the health authorities and we will share our thoughts and analysis as we move forward.

The CCJ leadership team will be assessing the impact this could have on the event should the situation arise in Canada where a pandemic is announced. We will assess and inform the participants as we move closer to the event date. This is a part of our risk planning approach to ensure the welfare of all our Scouting youth and Leaders. We have no plans to cancel the event at this point in time.

Did you know all our Sub Camps are being named and coloured after summer constellations?

Pack Sub Camps:
Cygnus (Swan) - Red
Draco (Dragon) - Blue
Scorpio (Scorpion) - Green
Aquila (Eagle) - Yellow

Staff Sub Camps:
Ursa Minor (Little Bear) - OOS Sub Camp
Ursa Major (Big Bear) - Venturer/Scout Staff Sub Camp

Your packs will hear from their Sub Camp chiefs in the spring and give you insight on what life at camp will be like.

We encourage groups to print their own camp shirt to wear that will match your subcamp theme!
